Founded in 2001 as a university start-up, the then-called company VRmagic has been a pioneer with virtual reality technology for medical training. From the beginning, the development of camera systems for high-precision optical tracking and computer vision had complemented the activities and lead to the establishment of VRmagic Imaging in 2016. In 2020, VRmagic joined the Swiss-based Haag-Streit Group and subsequently changed the company’s name to Haag-Streit GmbH in 2022.
