Mannheim/ Cambridge, MA – The eye surgery simulator Eyesi of the German company VRmagic is now available directly in the US. The subsidiary VRmagic Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts is taking over the sale of medical simulators on site.
As Vice President of Sales, Marshall Dial manages operations in Cambridge and will develop service and support. Mr. Dial has over 15 years of industry eye care experience. He was employed with Bausch & Lomb for 11 years. Most recently he worked as General Manager of the Surgical and Imaging Division at Innova Medical, Toronto, where he accounted for a 40% market penetration of the EYESi simulator in Canada since 2006.
Eyesi is a highly sophisticated simulator for intraocular surgical training. Realistic simulation of cataract and vitreoretinal surgical procedures allows ophthalmic surgeons to improve their operating skills with no risk to patients. With the possibility of repetitive training and the objective evaluation of the surgical performance, the Eyesi simulator provides a comprehensive learning environment.
At the ASCRS 2008 in Chicago VRmagic will be presenting Eyesii cataract and Eyesi vitreoretinal from 5 to 8 April at booth 666.
