Ophthalmic Skills Training Center
Haag-Streit invites attendees to experience the concept of an Ophthalmic Skills Training Center. The innovative educational set-up has been designed to elevate residency programs by providing cutting-edge training facilities. The combination of innovative technologies, such as Eyesi training simulators and wet lab stations using Hi-R NEO 900 microscopes, reflects the commitment to creating close-to-life training environments for residents.
Eyesi Indirect ROP simulator
At AAO 2023, Haag-Streit Simulation will present the new Eyesi Indirect ROP simulator. Designed for lifelike training of challenging retinal examinations on premature infants, this high-end VR training system includes an embedded curriculum for learning proper classification of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
Eyesi Slit Lamp’s latest features – fundoscopy and gonioscopy training
The Eyesi Slit Lamp simulator takes a leap forward with the release of software version 1.8. At AAO, attendees can explore new courses on fundoscopy and gonioscopy. Fundoscopy lens handling courses empower trainees to master slit lamp adjustments, lens handling, and patient gaze modifications for comprehensive retinal examinations. Gonioscopy training courses focus on Goldmann lens handling, providing insights into factors like lens tilt, rotation, patient gaze, illumination, and microscope arm rotation and their impact on the examination.
