An Eyesi dry lab is a hands-on surgical training event where eye surgery simulation is used to provide realistic surgical experience instead of training on pig’s eyes. Participants in an Eyesi dry lab start right where the training is needed – no valuable time is wasted on preparation of the animal eyes. During an Eyesi dry lab, procedures such as the peeling of the internal limiting membrane or capsulorhexis can be repeated over and over again. What is more, the skills acquired during the dry lab can be validated through video playback and a performance graph that educators can export from the Eyesi system.
