VRmagic presents intelligent tracking solutions at the VISION Show in Stuttgart, November 3-5, 2009
Airshow by VRmagic and Microdrones + Multitouch, multiuser and object identification - the EPSON x-desk + Optical 3D tracking in realtime for augmented reality application
Airshow by VRmagic and Microdrones
VISION Application Park, hall 4, booth A75
At the VISION Application Park in hall 4 a remote-controlled flying drone from Microdrones will be demonstrated every hour. An intelligent camera from VRmagic undertakes the automatic landing of the drone. A tracking algorithm on the camera analyses the height of the drone, its position and alignment in relation to the landing place.
Multitouch, multiuser and object identification – Optical tracking for the EPSON x-desk
VRmagic, hall 4, booth 4B72
The Epson xdesk features a multi-touch surface display which allows consumers to interact with digital contents by touch and gesture − on their own or simultaneously with others. Users can place physical objects on the surface to trigger different types of digital responses. The German manufacturer impressx used smart USB cameras by VRmagic for implementation of the sophisticated gesture tracking.
"Four sensors, two imaging pipelines, one camera – Optical 3D tracking integrated in Head-Mounted Stereo-See-Through-Camera"
Industrial VISION Days, hall 6, booth A81, November 5, 1 p.m.
(Presentation in German)
At the Industrial VISION Days, Dr. Markus Schill, CEO at VRmagic, will speak about the realization of the optical 3D tracking for an interactive augmented reality application with data eyeglasses. Augmented reality means that computer-generated images are incorporated into real scenes in real time. For the user, the difference between the real and virtual image levels is hardly perceptible.
In order to permit technical realization of this system, VRmagic developed a multi-sensor FPGA camera with four pixel-synchronous sensors. Two image processing paths are combined in this camera: 3D object tracking by two sensors and a stereo see-through video camera.
