For applications with NTSC- or PAL-cameras VRmagic offers different lightweight models of USB- powered frame grabbers. The product line covers streaming components as well as smart FPGA-versions. All models feature timestamps and frame counter. Up to nine user-configurations can be stored on the converter.
Lossless Compression of Image Data
VRmagic´s smart frame grabbers are equipped with an FPGA-Chip for a lossless compression of image data. The components are available with USB 2.0 or USB 1.x interface. The use of cable lengths up to 150 feet is practicable as well as data transmission via non high frequency compliant interfaces. For OEM-customers image processing functions can be integrated. An internal 64 MB ringbuffer prevents loss of image data and optimizes the use of bandwidth when operating multiple USB components.
The same API for all Components
All imaging components by VRmagic are controlled by the same API. An exchange of the converter with VRmagic´s cameras later on is therefore possible without additional programming.
