VRmagic is the world-leading supplier of virtual reality training simulators for training ophthalmologists. Using state-of-the-art technology, Eyesi simulators from VRmagic offer an extremely realistic learning environment in which medical specialists can train their diagnostic and surgical skills on virtual patients.

 

In a second business division, VRmagic develops and markets camera systems for machine vision applications. The product range extends from external analogue-to-digital converters and FPGA components with integrated image processing through to programmable intelligent cameras with their own Linux operating system. For 3D applications, VRmagic offers FPGA-based multi-sensor cameras with up to four remote, pixel-synchronous sensors.

 

Both company divisions offer great potential for development of new products based on our existing technology. To strengthen our development team in the area of microelectronics for software development and circuit design for FPGAs, DSPs and microcontrollers, we are currently looking for an

 

Electrical engineer (development of PCBs and software for FPGA, DSP, µC)

 

Tasks

  • Production of circuit diagrams for high-frequency applications (USB 2.0, CMOS and CCD imaging sensors, FPGA, DSP, DDR memory)
  • Routing of these circuits as multi-layer PCBs
  • Development of software for programmable components (FPGA, DSP, µC)
  • Programming the driver and API layers
  • Requirement profile
  • Outstanding ability to work in a structured, independent manner as part of a team

 

Requirement Profile

  • Experience in design and routing of PCBs for high-frequency applications with a high packing density
  • Experience in C++ and C for software development in the µC and on the PC as host

Desirable:

  • Experience with EAGLE 5.x
  • Knowledge of VHDL for development of FPGA designs
  • Knowledge of Assembler or C for development of DSP designs
  • Knowledge of driver programming under Windows and Linux
