Tasks with increasing levels of difficulty
Simulation software modules provide the actual training content on the Eyesi surgery simulator. Each training module includes various tasks with increasing levels of difficulty. The number of training courses is being constantly extended. Eyesi units can be upgraded when new modules become available.
Basic skills
In eye surgery simulation, it is possible to isolate aspects of required surgical skills and train them separately until they have been fully mastered. The Eyesi simulator offers several abstract tasks for training of basic surgical skills, such as navigation in the interior of the eye and use of the operating instruments. There are also modules designed to improve bimanual dexterity.
Surgical procedures
With the Eyesi simulator, surgical procedures can be divided up into a step-by-step approach to ensure stress-free and successful acquisition of the required surgical skills. The modules available cover procedures such as capsulorhexis and phacoemulsification as well as posterior hyaloid detachment and ILM peeling.
