Step-by-step to Expert Performance

The Eyesi Surgical courseware is a set of preinstalled courses on the simulator which offer training of both cataract and vitreoretinal surgery at different levels of difficulty. Each course combines training of basic skills with training of actual surgical procedures in a consecutively structured course design, leading students step-by-step to expert performance.

Keeping Control of the Surgical Learning Pathway

Eyesi Surgical training courses use scoring gates. A trainee can only advance through assigned courses after having met the required performance level. As a result, the educator is able to objectively assess the skills development of each trainee and control the surgical learning pathway.

Individually Tailored Courses

Educators can modify the existing Eyesi Surgical courseware to meet the individual needs of their trainees relative to their current skill level. PowerPoint presentations or video material can easily be added to provide additional medical information for teaching purposes.
