Abstract cases
For training the basic handling and operation of an indirect ophthalmoscope, the Eyesi Ophthalmoscope offers abstract cases in which trainees have to find geometric objects that are placed on the retina. The level of difficulty rises as objects have to be found on the periphery of the retina.
Basic cases
Basic cases represent the first step in learning how to diagnose with the Eyesi Ophthalmoscope. Typical retina and vitreous pathologies are covered in a multitude of examples, ranging from macular degenerations over hereditary and diabetic disorders through to tumors in the chorioretinal complex. Educational guidance is provided through multiple-choice questions and medical background information.
Clinical cases
The clinical cases of the Eyesi Ophthalmoscope are modeled on the basis of real clinical cases and offer a greater challenge to trainees. Clinical cases may have complicated pathologies that need to be differentiated against other possible diagnoses. Some clinical cases include the development of pathology after false or correct treatment or the natural progression of the pathology over time.
