VRmagic

VRmagic is a leading provider of virtual reality simulators for medical training worldwide. Innovative image processing solutions for industrial and scientific applications form a second area of operation and this expertise compliments the rapidly evolving field of medical simulation..

Founded in Mannheim, Germany, in 2001, VRmagic emerged from a cooperation of scientists in the fields of medicine, physics and information technology at the universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim.

When introduced in 2001, the eye surgery simulator EYESi was awarded the Stiftung Rhein-Neckar-Dreieck Research and Innovation Prize. In 2007 VRmagic also received the European ICT-Prize for the development of EYESi cataract.

To meet the unique need for high-performance image processing devices in virtual reality simulators, VRmagic developed a new line of cameras with previously unavailable features.
