Dear valued EYESi customer,

In order to provide our customers the best possible experience during Phacoemulsification training, we had to change the design of the cataract instruments (see images). The new cataract instrument set allows to apply the "cross cracking" technique during Phaco divide and conquer. This change also requires an upgrade of the cataract interface head (free of charge). All EYESi systems with a serial number larger than 069 (SN069) are equipped with the new instrument design with long markers.

We therefore strongly recommend all customers that use a cataract interface with an EYESi that has a serial number less than 070 to upgrade their old cataract instruments and interface head.

You may replace your old cataract instruments by either:

1. Order a new set of cataract instruments using the form below. As soon as we receive your old instrument set we will credit you 80% of the list price. Please also send in your cataract interface head to receive an upgrade. (fastest option)

or

2. Send in your old instrument set together with the cataract interface head and the completed form. As soon as we receive your old instruments and head we will modify them as send them back to you as soon as possible. The modifcation will take 3-4 days. Together with shipping we expect a downtime of approximately 10 days. (free of charge)
